Personalization Core Literacy Proficiencies Program with Locally-Chosen Texts

The foundational framework of the Developing Core Literacy Proficiencies’ (CLP) objectives, activities, and supporting materials can be extended to additional locally-chosen texts to personalize a year-long learning progression.

Students continue to build their Knowledge, Literacy Skills, and Academic Habits with complementary teacher-developed content. The CLP framework can be used with locally-chosen texts in a variety of ways: from shorter lessons with additional topically-related texts to longer instructional sequences with novels, plays, poetry, and literary nonfiction.
