Questioning Path Tool
Planning Process
Using the many model Questioning Path Tools from the CLP units as examples, teachers develop Questioning Paths for key passages students will study within the lesson or unit. They also plan for when and how students will develop their own Questioning Paths as they become more independent readers. Considering the approaches to reading and LIPS domains previously identified on the Text Selection Guide, teachers (or students) select or adapt questions from the Guiding Questions Handout to use for initially Approaching and Questioning the text. Teachers (or students) then develop text-specific questions related to key issues in the passages.
